They were up against Shaeem Khan and Mas'ud Moerat, who served Aubergine Parmigiana, Butter Chicken and Naan, and Kheer (Rice Pudding).

And Azraa and Waven Harper, who made Rocket Chip salad of rocket, butternut and beetroot in a fried potato tower, Thai chicken curry and Panna Cotta and Rose Jelly.

The finale was judged by My Kitchen Rules twosome David Higgs and J’Something, and Siba Mtongana, Zola Nene, Wandile Mabaso and Kayla-Ann Osborn.

They gave each couple a score out of 10 for their overall menus.

Shaeem and Mas-ud: Zola, Kayla and Wandile scored them a 6, with an 8 from Siba and 7s from David and J’Something. They totalled 40.

Azraa and Waven picked up sixes from all the judges except Siba with 7, to score a total of 37.

Abraham and Michelle were scored sevens by all the judges except Siba with an 8, for a total of 43.

This is their profile from when the series started:

Abraham Van Zyl (34) and Michelle Theron (35)
From: Johannesburg & Pretoria

Abraham didn’t hesitate for a second when his "food bestie" Michelle texted him and invited him to enter MKRSA.

He’s always loved cooking and did Home Economics at school, helping his mom in the home kitchen and watching his dad closely as he worked his magic in front of the braai.

He prides himself on making delicious sauces, great salads and a mean picanha steak on the braai.

His cooking style? "Fresh, simple, hearty, real and honest".

Michelle thinks it’s fair to say that she probably spends more time thinking, dreaming and focusing on food than she does on anything else because she loves to bring joy by cooking for others.

She loves building big bold platters of food - and keeping them coming.

A self-taught cook, she would love to have her own cooking show, having studied drama but never pursuing a career in the entertainment industry.
