Bio

Kelly Parkhurst is a South African businesswoman and former actress and television presenter best known as a presenter of the SABC3 magazine show Top Billing, after she won the nationwide Top Billing presenter search in 2007.

Born and raised in Durban, Kelly attended Kloof Junior Primary (1992-1993) and St Marys DSG (1994-2003). Her father is retired and her mother owns a gift shop in Hillcrest, Durban. She has one brother, Ryan.

She performed in many professional plays in Durban during her school years and in 2004 moved to Cape Town to pursue her acting career further.

Kelly furthered her studies at the AFDA film school with a Bachelor in Live Performance, majoring in Acting for Film. During this time she appeared in various international commercials.

At the beginning of 2007 she enrolled at UNISA for a B.Com, specialising in Industrial Psychology.

In 2007 Kelly entered Top Billing's three-month presenter search. After beating 8000 hopefuls for the coveted job she joined the ranks of Jo-Ann Strauss and Michael Mol in South Africa's premier magazine show.

After co-writing a script for M-Net in 2007 about a girl battling with Leukaemia, the Sunflower Fund approached Kelly to become one of their Ambassadors of Hope. In 2008 she was amongst the 30 women nominated for Cosmopolitan’s Awesome Woman awards.

Kelly left Top Billing in 2011 and has since launched a career in business.
