Danny McBride is an American actor, comedian, screenwriter and producer best known for his role as Red in the 2008 feature film Pineapple Express; and for his starring role as Kenny Powers in the television comedy series Eastbound & Down.
McBride first gained industry awareness with his starring role in David Gordon Green's All the Real Girls, winner of the 2003 Jury Prize at the Sundance Film Festival.
He attended the North Carolina School of the Arts, alongside David Gordon Green, Jody Hill and Ben Best, where he received a BFA in filmmaking.
McBride re-teamed with Hill and Best in the 2006 Sundance smash hit comedy The Foot Fist Way, which he co-wrote with director Hill.
McBride has also starred in such comedies as Tropic Thunder with Ben Stiller, Jack Black and Robert Downey Jr., Hot Rod with Andy Samberg and The Heartbreak Kid with Ben Stiller.
He also appeared opposite Will Ferrell in the action-comedy Land of the Lost, in 2009.
