Bio
Rose Leslie is a Scottish actress best known for her starring role as wildling Ygritte in the fantasy drama television series Game of Thrones.
She is also known for her starring role as housemaid Gwen in the period drama television series Downton Abbey, in 2010.
After training at The London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art, Rose made her award-winning television debut in the BBC series New Town.
Downton Abbey was her second television appearance. She notes that her work in theatre helped her prepare for the role of Gwen.
