Martha MacIsaac is a Canadian actress best known for her starring role as Becca Gilchrist, the president's (Bill Pullman) overachieving and perfectionist daughter, in the television sitcom 1600 Penn, from 2012-2013.
Born and raised in Prince Edward Island, Canada's smallest and least populated province, MacIsaac relocated to Toronto at a young age to pursuing acting and has since made an indelible mark in both theater and television.
She began her acting career at the age of 11 on television in the title role in Emily of New Moon. MacIsaac had a recurring arc on Greek and starred opposite Kelly Rowan in the CTV film In God's Country.
Additionally, she has lent her voice to numerous animated series including Family Guy, Spyburbia, Friends and Heroes, Magi-Nation and Di-Gata Defenders.
MacIsaac is well known for her role in Judd Apatow's hit comedy Superbad, where she starred alongside Michael Cera. Additional feature film credits include the remake of Wes Craven's The Last House on the Left, the sci-fi thriller The Thaw, opposite Val Kilmer, as well as the recently completed Faith, Fraud & Minimum Wage and Dead Before Dawn 3D.
MacIsaac took centre stage as the star of three consecutive productions for the Soulpepper Theatre Company at Toronto's Young Centre for the Performing Arts. She opened in Leaving Home, followed by Our Town, and finally transitioned into Time of Your Life.
MacIsaac previously received a prestigious Dora Award nomination, presented annually by the Toronto Alliance for the Performing Arts honoring theatre, dance and opera productions in Toronto, for her theatrical debut in Henrik Ibsen's The Wild Duck.
She is married and currently resides in Los Angeles.
