Bio
Jeremy Schoenberg is an American actor and tenor, best known as a child star on both film and television, most notably as the character Johnny, Marlena's foster child, on the soap opera Days of Our Lives from 1980 to 1982.
He was nominated for this role in the category of Best Young Actor - Daytime TV Series in the 2nd Annual Young Artist Awards.
He also voiced "Linus Van Pelt" in the 1983 television series The Charlie Brown and Snoopy Show, and voiced the same role in four made-for-TV animated films: Is This Goodbye, Charlie Brown? (1983), What Have We Learned, Charlie Brown? (1983), It's Flashbeagle, Charlie Brown (1984) and Snoopy's Getting Married, Charlie Brown (1985).
He also acted in the feature film Shoot The Moon (his screen debut in 1982), in episodes of Family Ties (1982) and Valerie (1987), and in the made-for-TV animated film Happily Ever After (1985).
He made his last credited screen appearance in the 1991 film Mobsters.
Now in his adulthood, Schoenberg is a professional opera singer.
Schoenberg most recently premiered as Rodolfo in Puccini's La Bohème with the Townsend Opera Players in Modesto, Calif., where he returned in April, 2007, to sing Ferrando in Così fan tutte.
While completing his master’s degree, he performed several leading roles in the highly regarded opera program at California State University, Northridge, including Ferrando, Nemorino in L'Elisir d'amore, and the title role in Britten’s Albert Herring.
Schoenberg has also performed in the Los Angeles area with the Golden West Opera Theater, the L.A. Hanmi Opera, and the Palisades Symphony, with which he has sung Edgardo in Lucia di Lammermoor, Pedrillo in Die Entfürung aus dem Serail and Almaviva in Il Barbiere di Siviglia.
He also performed the role of Belmonte in Die Entführung aus dem Serail with the California Opera Ensemble.
Schoenberg has toured nationally with Opera a la Carte, America's premiere Gilbert and Sullivan repertory company, and is a member of the chorus of Opera Pacific, one of the nation’s finest professional opera companies.
He holds a Bachelor of Music in vocal arts from the University of Southern California and recently completed his Master of Music “with distinction” in vocal performance at Cal State Northridge, where the faculty named him “Outstanding Student” in the opera program and where he was inducted into Pi Kappa Lambda, the national music honor society.
Schoenberg is an alumnus of OperaWorks, an opera training program, and has studied and performed zarzuela with some of the world’s most noted zarzuela experts at the Jarvis Conservatory in Napa, California.
