Bio
Lise Swart is a South African singer and actress best known for co-hosting the second season of the SABC2 music show Pitstop with Alvin Bruinders, in 2006.
She also hosted the Afrikaans cooking show Roer on kykNET, from 2004-2005.
Born and raised in Cape Town, Swart matriculated at the Hoerskool Hottentots Holland in Somerset West in 1996.
She studied BA Drama at Stellenbosch from 1998-2000, at which point she decided to rather pursue her career in singing.
Lise has been a backing vocalist for many of South Africa's top artists, including Gert Vlok Nel, Laurinda Hofmeyer and Anton Goosen, and has performed in shows like Om te Breyten - a production at the Klein Karoo Nasionale Kunstefees (KKNK), together with Amanda Strydom, Piet Botha and Valiant Swart.
In 2003, Lise also participated in the Anton & Vrinne Bushrockband Live Show, followed by the Crowded Sunrise: Thomas Channell Show at the Volksbladfees in 2004. Both shows were recorded and sold nationally at selected retail music outlets.
Lise also travelled abroad and stayed and worked in and around London, England from 2001 till 2003. She gained experience in various fields throughout this time, varying from management positions to assistant social worker at a rehabilitation clinic for drug addictions.
She remained gaining experience in the music industry well through her travels, and did various shows in London. In 2002 and 2003 she acted as a backing vocalist for Anton Goosen in central London.
After returning home in 2004 Lise hosted the cooking show Roer on kykNET, staying with the show for two seasons.
She became known as a presenter when she took over from her older sister Nina as co-host of Pitstop on SABC2.
She co-hosted (with Michelle McLean) the third season of the reality modeling competition Revlon Supermodel, from 3 November 2007.
