Bio
Mark Pellegrino is an American actor best known for his role as abusive husband and ex-con Paul Bennett on the television crime thriller television series Dexter, from 2006-2007.
He is also known for his recurring role as Jacob in the final two seasons of the mystery drama television series Lost, from 2009-2010.
He also stars as James Bishop - a member of the Boston Police Department who is also a vampire - in the supernatural drama series Being Human; and as Dr. Jedikiah Price, the head of a paramilitary group called Ultra who are hunting down people with special abilities, in the science fiction series The Tomorrow People.
Pellegrino has been acting since the age of 23, and has worked with some of the industry's biggest directing names, such as Joel Schumacher, David Mamet, Steven Spielberg, David Lynch and the Coen Brothers among many others.
With a reputation as a well-respected actor, Pellegrino has appeared in such high-profile feature films as The Big Lebowski, Lethal Weapon 3, Mulholland Dr., Capote, National Treasure, The Number 23 and more.
Mark's television credits include, but are not limited to, Dexter, ER, The X-Files, NYPD Blue, The Practice, The Unit, Criminal Minds, Prison Break, Grey's Anatomy, Ghost Whisperer, CSI, Lost, Supernatural and The Mentalist.
Throughout his career, Mark has remained connected to his craft by keeping active in theatre as well as teaching classes at Playhouse West and seminars at Acting Studio LA, which provides a home for some of the most talented professional actors, writers and directors.
When his schedule allows, Mark actively participates in a variety of sports, including martial arts, kickboxing, Thai boxing, Judo, Karate and Ju-Jitsu.
He currently resides with his family just outside of Los Angeles.
