Bio
Lennie James is an English actor and playwright best known for his starring role as Robert Hawkins in the post-apocalyptic television drama series Jericho, from 2006-2008.
He is also known for his recurring role as Morgan Jones in the horror series The Walking Dead. Other credits include Charlie in the HBO series Hung, AMC's The Prisoner, the BBC Two series Line of Duty and the Channel 4 series Buried.
He also played Luke Gardner in the BBC terrorism drama The State Within, Bishop David Newman on the BBC spy drama Spooks and narrated the factual drama Stealing Lives, in 2004.
He attended the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, graduating in 1988.
James has appeared in over twenty films, including the Guy Ritchie crime caper Snatch (2000), 24 Hour Party People (2002), and Sahara (2005) and wrote the play The Sons of Charlie Paora which was performed at London's Royal Court Theatre. He also played Cedric Munroe in the 2007 film Outlaw.
Other film credits include Lockout, opposite Guy Pearce; Colombiana, opposite Zoe Saldana; and The Next Three Days, opposite Russell Crowe.
In 2013 he starred as Joe Geddes, part cop, part perp and a smart-but-slippery veteran homicide detective who helps Detective Frank Agnew commit an act of vengeance, in the American remake of the British crime drama miniseries Low Winter Sun.
