Paola Turbay is a Colombian beauty pageant winner, model, television presenter and actress best known to Western audiences for her role as Isabel Vega in the television drama series Cane, in 2007.
Turbay is currently one of the most popular figures in Latin American television. She has had a multi-faceted career on the small screen both behind and in front of the camera, producing, directing, hosting and acting.
A first runner up in the Miss Universe Pageant, she was named The Queen of the Century by viewers of the Colombian TV station Caracol.
She has hosted the Miss Colombia National Beauty Pageant, as well as popular television shows including Bailando Por Un Sueño.
She served as a correspondent for the QAP news station in Colombia and as a newscaster on C.M. & News, garnering high ratings for her segment Secret Things, where she covered politics, economics and entertainment.
Turbay starred in the television series Las Noches de Luciana and Noticias Calientes, both of which aired throughout Latin America and on Univision's Telefutura channel in the U.S.
Her other television credits include Eco Moda, Leche and O Todos en la cama.
Her film credits include Perder es Cuestión de Método, Lenny the Wonder Dog and the Love in the Time of Cholera.
An avid philanthropist, she works with the Red Cross, World Vision, Lion's Club, Rotary Club, Eudes and the Sanar Foundation, among others.
A native of Houston, Texas, and raised in Bogota, Colombia, Turbay now lives in Los Angeles with her husband and two children.
