Eve Myles is a Welsh actress best known for her leading television roles as Ceri in Belonging (2000-2009) and as Gwen Cooper in the Doctor Who spin-off series Torchwood, from 2006-2011.
Myles won Best Actress from the Welsh branch of the BAFTA (British Academy of Film and Television Arts) for her role as Gwen in Torchwood, Season 1.
She has appeared in numerous television programs including The Adventures of Merlin, Doctor Who, Tales of Pleasure Beach and Soundproof. She also played the role of Maggy in the BBC adaptation of Charles Dickens' Little Dorrit.
Myles also won an Ian Charleson Award for her work in The Taming of the Shrew and Titus Andronicus for the Royal Shakespeare Company.
She also performed at The National Theatre playing Doll Tearsheet in Henry IV: Part I and Lady Mortimer in Henry IV: Part II alongside Michael Gambon and directed by Nicholas Hytner.
