Hit & Miss is a British television drama series created by Paul Abbott which follows Mia, a preoperative male-to-female transsexual contract killer who discovers she has a child with her former lover and then is torn between caring for her newfound family and maintaining her job as an assassin.
The series aired in the UK on Sky Atlantic from 22 May to 26 June, 2012. There are six hour-long episodes in one season.
Hit & Miss premiered in South Africa on DStv's M-Net Series channel on Tuesday 18 December 2012, at 22h30. New episodes broadcast weekly.
Synopsis
Hit & Miss, from Paul Abbott, creator of Shameless and State of Play, is a high concept and ambitious series that follows Chloë Sevigny as Mia, a contract killer with a secret: she's a transgender woman.
Mia's life is sent into a tailspin when she receives a letter from an ex-girlfriend dying from cancer, revealing that Mia fathered a son 11 years ago.
Faced with a difficult decision, Mia becomes the guardian to a new family, forcing her to mix her killer instincts with her newly developing maternal instincts.
