Hawaii Five-0 is a contemporary take on the classic series about a new elite federalised task force whose mission is to wipe out the crime that washes up on the Islands' sun-drenched beaches.
In the Season 2 premiere, "Ha'i'ole (Unbreakable)": While McGarrett sits in prison awaiting trial for the murder of the governor, Danny brings him a surprise visitor to help clear him.
Meanwhile, Kono is suspended for the force, pending an internal investigation.
Terry O'Quinn (Lost) recurs this season as Lt. Commander Joe White, McGarrett's (Alex O'Loughlin) former SEAL instructor who trained McGarrett in Coronado, and served with his father in Vietnam.
He's a man with secrets, holding some of the answers to the mysteries surrounding the murder of McGarrett's parents.
Richard T. Jones (Judging Amy) recurs as the new governor, Sam Denning; and William Sadler (Boardwalk Empire) guest stars as John McGarrett.
