The show is punctuated with a range of inserts that explore the creative origins and passion that runs in this genre.
These vignettes are captured as first-hand chronicles from the main featured artists themselves, told in their own words to satisfy the appetites of ardent fans and whet the palette of newcomers discovering the experience for the first time.
Driven by Ntombi Ngcobo-Mzolo, daughter of the famous Ihhashi Elimhlophe and member of Amaponi, the show charts the diverse world of Mzansi's traditional music through a compelling mix of music videos, artist reviews and interviews, live performances and loads of music trivia with the best established and upcoming artists in the land.
Featured music sub-genres includes Maskandi, Isicathamiya, Mbaqanga, Mgqashiyo, Bubblegum, Venda Traditional, Sotho Traditional (Mohobelo), Tsonga traditional/disco, Pedi Traditional (Harepa) and Xhosa traditional.
