On Sunset Beach in December:
Monday 3rd December
Episode 43
After battling to escape from Myers, Paula is taken to the camper van, which has a hose running from the exhaust through the window, pumping toxic carbon monoxide into the van. Myers returns to the warehouse where Eddie and Ricardo storm in. Eddie shoots Myers on sight claiming he had a gun, which turns out to be a lollipop. His dying words are that Paula's dead, but an FBI profile says Myers' previous victims died at sunset by CO2 poisoning: they still have time.
Meg arrives at Ben's and hears Annie shouting that she must've killed her father. Ben helps Annie to delve into her memories and discovers she was in Del's room, but she found his dead body. They're both relieved she's finally clear off the murder. Tim spies on Meg through Ben's window and spots Annie alive. He ponders whether to tell Gregory, but instead tells Meg they don't belong in Sunset Beach.
Bette questions who could've shot Del and asks Annie if she picked up any jewels. She says she didn't so the killer must have them. Annie wants to tell Ben this new info, but Bette faints as she's asked to explain. Ricardo goes in search of Tiffany, who's in the Richards' hall closet much to Caitlin's surprise. Tiffany tells Ricardo as much as she can about Myers and the van, and Ruiz seems to have a lead. After attempting to escape from the van, Paula finally succumbs to the fumes.
Tuesday 4th December
Episode 44 Part 1 (This episode's in 2 part's so the summary for 5th December's the same as for the 4th.)
Casey and Rae are about to kiss when the doorbell rings - it's a package from Rae's grandmother. Rae tells Casey the present is a family heirloom passed down to the first daughter to get married. Casey's amused by the tea set, complete with 'fertility tea'. He thinks they should tell her parents they're getting a divorce, but Rae is reluctant. Ricardo smashes the camper van's window as Eddie unhooks the pipe from the exhaust. They break open the door, and Paula falls out unconscious.
Eddie calls an ambulance whilst Ricardo gives her CPR. Ben offers Bette a glass of water, but whilst out of the room she sits up, demanding to know what Annie's playing at. He returns threatening to call a doctor, and unsurprisingly Bette comes around. Ben leaves them to it and Annie demands to know about the jewels, but Bette insists she drops it.
Olivia sees Cole at the Waffle Shop and tells him she's meeting her husband. Gregory arrives earlier than expected, but Olivia tells him she wants to do some shopping. He stops by the Java Web where Meg kisses Ben for Gregory's benefit - much to Ben's surprise, though he hopes it wasn't just for Gregory. Cole meets Olivia at the Seabreeze and finds her lying in bed adorned with jewels.
Paula's rushed to the Medical Centre and experiences difficulties but Rae stabilises her. Elaine tells Ricardo he needs to tell Paula he loves her. Ricardo's shocked by her reaction, but she tells him he saved Paula's life. As Ricardo waits by Paula's bedside he hears Gabi Martinez in the corridor. He breaks down realising it's his fault Paula got kidnapped.
Wednesday 5th December
Episode 44 Part 2

Thursday 6th December
Episode 45
Gregory senses Tim is holding something back and promises that if he tells him what he knows then he'll help Tim get Meg back. Tim's not sure how Gregory could do that, but he's tempted. Meg tells Ben she has the feeling everything is about to blow up in their face so Ben offers to walk her home.
Annie listens to Ben and Meg's conversation on the decking. They discuss Annie's idea of love, which Ben explains isn't love but fixation, and how she moves on when she gets bored. Ben confesses he's lost that special feeling and tells Meg even his wife feels like a very long time ago. They enter the house and Ben asks Annie what she wanted to tell him about when Bette fainted, but Annie keeps quiet.
Paula finally wakes up with Eddie standing over her. She asks for Ricardo who's over the moon to see her awake. Paula is freaked out by the cuffs hanging from Eddie's belt. Eddie can't be sure if Paula knows something. Olivia's tryst with Cole is cut short when Bette calls. Bette sees them kissing as Cole is leaving the hotel room. After he's gone she questions what Olivia is playing at. Mark entertains Caitlin at The Deep as she attempts to change her image, but she's disappointed when she sees Cole enter.
Monday 10th December
Episode 46
Tim tells Gregory that Annie Douglas is alive and living in Ben's house. Gregory can't believe his ears, but hires someone to hack into Ben's security system in the hope of catching Annie on camera. Gregory sees Ben clearly talking to someone, but the hacker has limited capabilities and the screen soon turns to snow. He tells the guy to keep recording and let him know when there's something concrete to look at.
Bette warns Olivia their secret is about to come out, especially since she's sleeping with Elaine's son. Bette threatens to tell Elaine everything before it's too late. Caitlin puts on a sexy dance performance with Mark to make Cole jealous, but she's devastated to find he's left. Realising what a fool she's been, Caitlin leaves in a hurry, but runs into Cole who asks what she's playing at. Gregory visits with Ben and tells his old friend that whatever he's hiding surely isn't worth losing their friendship.
Paula believes someone else kidnapped her, but Eddie persuades her that Myers' m.o. was to work alone, so there couldn't have been anyone else there. Paula remembers that Ricardo wasn't there to pick her up, but tells him it's not his fault she got kidnapped. Ricardo still feels guilty about his liaison with Gabi.
Tuesday 11th December
Episode 47
Ricardo asks if Paula was raped by Myers, to which Rae cryptically replies no and yes, indicating it'll take a while for the memories to fade. Casey tells Paula how Ricardo never stopped searching for her, and she tells him that even when she was losing air in the van she felt Ricardo's spirit was with her. He says that's the power of love.
Rae tells Paula she can go home tomorrow and offers something to help her sleep. As Rae prepares a sedative, Paula freaks out and flashes back to Myers' drugging her. Ricardo tells Rae to put the needle away as they calm Paula down. Ben tells Gregory he's outstayed his welcome after Gregory warns him to stop trying to clear Annie's name. He leaves but the surveillance pays off as he sees Annie alive actually shouting and pointing at the camera. Next day, he tells Eddie Annie's alive, but Eddie can't believe it until he sees the footage.
Ben hears Annie badmouthing Meg, and telling her she'll be glad when the charade is over. Ben compliments Meg on cleaning the house and tells her she doesn't need to do his laundry, but Annie takes advantage. Meg says she doesn't mind, and Ben offers to walk her to work much to Annie's disgust. Paula and Ricardo return to the loft where she has flashbacks to the kidnapping. Ricardo continues to blame himself for going off with Gabi.
Wednesday 12th December
Episode 48
Annie dresses in the clothes Meg left for her and finds a wig in the downstairs closet. Eddie arrives at the Java Web and asks where Ben is. As soon as he finds out they're both there, Eddie leaves and breaks into Ben's, but after a through look around he realises she's not there. Meg goes off to do the laundry and Ben spots a badly disguised Annie in a bad wig. He pulls her to one side, berating her until Gregory enters. Ben scolds 'Meg' and Annie takes the opportunity to kiss Ben. Gregory asks 'Meg' for service but Ben escorts her into the back.
Rae recommends Ricardo takes Paula to a therapist, and Casey discovers Paula's putting on an act for Ricardo's sake. A woman's hands cut a picture of Paula from the Sentinel and stick it in a scrap book with several others. Ricardo sees the tattoo and Paula tells him she's going to have it removed, but the scars will be there forever. Ricardo wants to tell Paula about Gabi, but all Paula wants is for him to hug her.
As Ben escorts Annie back home, Gregory hires a new investigator to take care of the situation, angered that Eddie couldn't. Eddie sees Ben dragging what looks to be Meg by the arm.
Thursday 13th December
Episode 49
Paula's spooked by a weird phone call, but assures Ricardo that's all it was. Later, as they try to make love, Ricardo is transfixed by the tattoo which unnerves Paula. Ricardo offers to make them dinner instead and pops out to get something to eat. Whilst he is out, Paula hears a noise and locks herself in. Ricardo is horrified to see Gabi with Elaine.
The Surf Central gang celebrate Vanessa's published article with a barbecue, but it's nowhere to be found in the new issue of the Sentinel. Vanessa asks Michael if he had something to do with it, and what happened on Grand Avenue. Michael still won't talk about it, so Vanessa starts snooping. Gregory thanks his investigator for killing Vanessa's story.
Eddie follows Ben and 'Meg' home and watches them argue. Ben berates Annie for being stupid and selfish, and orders her to stay in the house. Eddie tries picking the door lock, but Meg returns with laundry, which leaves Eddie confused. Meg can't believe Annie's disguise, and leaves after Annie lies about it being Ben's idea.
Casey asks Meg if there are any problems between her and Ben, and she confesses he doesn't know about her being 'Dorothy'. Casey says she should tell Ben as soon as possible. She's delighted when Ben joins the party. Vanessa tells them about a shadow corporation that'll shake up Sunset Beach, whilst Gregory pores over a file marked 'The Liberty Corporation'. Eddie breaks into Ben's in search of Annie, but Ben and Meg return and catch Eddie in the act.
Monday 17th December
Episode 50
Eddie explains how he scared off a prowler, but Ben doesn't believe him, so Eddie asks if Ben's got something to hide. After Eddie leaves, Ben and Meg search for Annie but she's not in the house. Bette arrives home and is startled by a stranger coming through the patio doors. After an attempted martial arts takedown, the intruder is revealed as Annie who tells Bette that Eddie is onto him. Bette tells her she can't stay there and goes to get Ben, but when they return Annie has moved on. Ben can't believe how irresponsible she is and washes his hands of her.
Paula freaks as Ricardo comes back and stares in horror as she aims a gun at him - Paula thinks he's Myers. She eventually snaps out of it and tells Ricardo to hide the gun, but he assures her it won't happen again. The mysterious scrapbook woman is revealed as Gabi Martinez who appears to have a connection to Paula.
Bette meets with Olivia and they discuss how important it is that Gregory doesn't know about the jewels, but he's eavesdropping on their conversation. He later asks Olivia about the jewels and asks whether she thinks he shot Del for the jewels. As Ricardo and Paula attempt to make love, there's a knock at the door - Ricardo is less than pleased to see it's Gabi.
Annie breaks into Eddie's and finds her father's briefcase in his dark room. She picks the locks on the case to reveal the Deschanel jewels inside. Eddie visits Gregory and tells him he almost had Annie, but Gregory's furious that Eddie didn't tell him about the jewels considering he hired him to kill Del!
Tuesday 18th December
Episode 51
Gabi explains how she met Elaine and that she wanted to see how Paula was. Ricardo is uncomfortable in her presence and eventually forces her to the doorway. She returns later explaining she's broken down. Reluctantly, Ricardo fixes her car whilst Gabi talks to Paula. Again he manages to get rid of her, but whilst they cuddle up together, outside their door, Gabi tears a picture of the happy couple.
Gregory demands to know where Eddie's put the briefcase but he denies all knowledge. Gregory tells Eddie he can incriminate him in Del's murder, but Eddie tells him he wasn't the one who shot Del and that he was already dead when he took the wallet to plant on Annie as originally planned. Annie takes the briefcase to The Deep and overhears Ben telling Meg he doesn't care what Annie does anymore. Eddie returns home to find the briefcase gone.
As Ben and Meg tidy the aftermath of the St Patrick's Day party, Meg trips into Ben's arms. They're about to kiss when Gregory enters demanding to talk to Ben alone. He demands Ben gives him the briefcase, which Olivia is entitled to in the terms of the will, but Ben doesn't know what he's talking about and suggests it isn't something Gregory would be, at liberty to discuss. The word unnerves Gregory and he leaves before Ben escorts him out. Meg finds the briefcase drops it into lost property so that when Annie returns the she finds it's gone.
Wednesday 19th December
Episode 52
Rae remembers kissing Casey the night before and longs to do it again. As she's leaving for work, she asks Casey to drop by. Rae's fianc鬠Wei-Lei, arrives at Surf Central and tries to impress Casey with his exploits. They visit Rae at the Medical Centre, where Paula teases Casey for being jealous, but warns him to watch Wei-Lei. After a chat with Rae, Wei-Lei tells Casey she's worth fighting for.
Vanessa tells Michael she can't trust him after seeing him with another woman. Michael can't tell her who she is, so Vanessa tells him it's over; he gives in and takes her to see the woman. The woman introduces Vanessa to her son, James.
Eddie plays Gregory a recording of his initial deal to kill Del, then makes several copies of the tape before being summoned. He asks what Eddie's playing at and Eddie gives him the tape, telling him the tapes are insurance. Gregory warns him to find Annie and the briefcase or Eddie's going down with him. Olivia finds Tiffany and tells her to stop gold-digging. Tiffany whispers she knows about Del and that Olivia killed him. Olivia later visits Tiffany in the maid's quarters, tells her she's there as a guest of Sean's for as long as Olivia says so not because of what Tiffany said. She adds that she didn't kill Del.
Annie calls The Deep, puts on a voice to ask Mark for Ben, but he's not there. She calls Bette who tells her to come home, but as Bette hangs up Gregory arrives at the door.
Thursday 20th December

Rae accepts a dinner date with Wei-Lei despite Casey's disbelief, but when he arrives to take her out, Casey tags along and suggests they go to The Deep. After Rae dances with Wei-Lei, Casey can't believe how infatuated she seems with him and asks her to make a choice, but she doesn't know what she wants.
Michael reveals how he met Virginia and her son, but when Vanessa asks him about James' father, Michael can't tell her. She probes further and Michael breaks down, confessing he killed James' father in a gang war some years ago. JoJo covered for him whilst Michael ran to Sunset Beach, but the guilt got the better of him, so he searched for the family whose life he ruined.
Vanessa's astounded by Michael's bravery, but he tells her Virginia doesn't know. Vanessa comforts a distraught Michael and assures him the best thing to do is to keep it a secret. Gregory informs Bette that Olivia now owns the beach house, whilst snooping around for Annie who's outside waiting. He meets Eddie outside The Deep and tells him to search Ben's office for Annie and the briefcase.
Mark moves the briefcase into Ben's office and puts an advert in the morning Sentinel. Annie returns home, but sees Eddie behind her and sounds the alarm, alerting the police, scaring him off before leaving herself.
