Menzi - 'undergoing successful treatment'

Generations star Menzi Ngubane was admitted to hospital last week after suddenly falling ill. The popular actor who plays Sibusiso (Ngamla) Dlomo on the soapie was admitted to Intensive Care and is still in hospital.

There's no word on what his medical condition is. His family have requested that this information be kept private.

Today Generations released this update:

Mfundi Vundla, Executive Producer of SABC 1’s popular daily drama Generations, would like to update fans, media and press of the progress of Menzi Ngubane’s recovery.

The actor is undergoing successful treatment, and his condition has improved considerably. While he will be in recovery for the next few weeks, his steady return to health is certain.

On behalf of the family, the Producers request that Menzi’s full and speedy recovery not be hampered by press, media or well-meaning fans; and that his privacy be respected during this time of healing.

The show has confirmed that Menzi will remain with the soapie and return once he's fully recovered.

Guys I can confirm that he is not dead he is admitted at the hospital I work in and just this morning I spoke to him and he is not terminally ill as they put it nor was he ever admiited in icu or high.. He is recovering and he will be discharged hopefully soon!

I am with you Makisto, we are very interested, so instead of hearing what a close source said, a family spokesperson will set the record straight. They can not tell us to forget about, surely that repeat about Journos camping outside the hospital must not happen.

He is not suffering from any liver dysfunction .. Whatever was published In the daily sun is false even the fact that a family member said it was looking bad is not true. His in a hospital , staff and other personal will obviously talk to friends, neighbours and the media end up speculating. The family don't want wrong information to circulate like the rumour about his death.. he doesn't want media to twist things thats all.. They shud update you yes but we should understand that the man is sick, being a celeb is not easy really , first few days people were crowding him saying sifuna ukubona u sbusiso dlomo for goodness sake his not well this is life not generations !!

i wish the man a speedy recovery.may i plis ask you people to be sure before you can say something out coz what you guys are doing is not good at all.no one knows the day, hour,minute,second that one will pass on, only GOD knows.so dont kill those we love before time and bacoz u want them dead.go to hell whoever said this......
