Idols Season 8 is down to the wire now with only four contestants left in the competition, and this Sunday they will be performing local hits in one of the most popular shows each season, “Homebrew”.
The Top 4 will be assisted in their preparations this week by popular House DJ Black Coffee, and they will each prepare two songs.
Durban’s Idol, Khaya Mthethwa, is rehearsing one of Zahara’s hits, “Lengoma”, and the Springbok Nude Girls classic “Blue Eyes”.
Monde Msutwana from Pretoria is working on Brian Temba’s “Dominoes”, as well as Watershed’s “Indigo Girl”.
P.E. beauty Melissa Allison plans to rock The Arrows’ “Lovesick” and her own interpretation of Mafikizolo’s hit of the classic “Ndihamba Nawe”.
And Thokoza’s Tshidi Tenyane is preparing Zamajobe’s “Ndawo Yami” as well as Freshlyground’s first big hit, “Doo Bee Doo”.
The Top 4 will also perform a number with this week’s special celebrity guest performer, Idols’ very own Unathi Msengana.
And Gauteng fans who want to show their love and support in person can meet the Top 4 at Vodacom World this Sunday, when they’ll be signing autographs from 10:00am.
The Idols Season 8 Top 4 Spectacular is recorded at the Mosaïek Teatro in Fairland, Johannesburg, on Friday, 14 September, and airs on M-Net and M-Net HD and Mzansi Magic on Sunday, 16 September, at 17:30.
