David Lyons is an Australian actor best known for his role as Dr. Simon Brenner, an attending physician, in the television drama series ER, from 2008-2009.
He also starred as Vince Farady - a.k.a. The Cape - in the short-lived superhero drama series The Cape, in 2011.
He currently stars as Bass, a former Marine who served alongside Miles Matheson (Billy Burke), in the post-apocalyptic science fiction drama series Revolution, since 2012.
A graduate from the National Institute of Dramatic Art (NIDA), Australia's most prestigious acting college, Lyons has performed on stage with both of Australia's leading theatre companies, the Sydney Theatre Company and the Melbourne Theatre Company.
In 2005, he won a recurring role in the hugely popular police drama Blue Heelers. In addition to a role in the longtime cult soap, Neighbours, Lyons also starred as Leading Seaman Josh ET Holiday in the high-seas action series Sea Patrol.
On the silver screen, Lyons can be seen in the feature Storm Warning, directed by Jamie Blanks (Urban Legend, Valentine) and distributed by Bob Weinstein's Dimension Films.
He also contributed a riveting performance as a gambler with a dark secret in the Outback thriller Cactus, starring alongside Aussie screen icon Bryan Brown.
