Bio
Muzi Clive Ngwenya (13 August, 1982 - 12 January, 2012) was a South African actor best known for his starring role as Simon Ndlovu in the SABC1 drama series Fallen, in 2011.
He was previously a Top 5 finalist on the SABC1 reality competition Class Act, in 2010.
Muzi grew up in Eldorado Park, saw himself as an aspiring actor and became a fan of Al Pacino and Denzel Washington. This lead to him ultimately becoming an actor and actively seeking roles in the film industry.
As a youngster, he would practice acting in front of a mirror after watching a movie.
Menzi Ngubani (Sibusiso on Generations) proved to be an inspiration to him, and even though he has had no formal acting lessons, he had cameo roles on television and appeared in a television commercial. He was also the featured guest artist on an episode of the SABC1 sitcom Nomzamo, in 2009.
Muzi also enjoyed fishing, rugby and gaming to relax.
He died in his home in Bramley, Johannesburg on Tuesday 10 January 2012 from smoke inhalation as a result of a fire in his home caused by his television. He was found with his T-shirt covering his face, suggesting he'd tried to save himself from the smoke. He was 30.
After his death the DStv channel Mzansi Magic claimed it had made him a "face of the channel" for 2012.
