Cheryl Hines is an American actress best known for her television sitcom roles as Larry David's wife Cheryl on Curb Your Enthusiasm and as Dallas Royce in Suburgatory.
She was the female lead in the animated comedy Space Chimps, with Saturday Night Live's Andy Samberg, and she co-starred in the Sundance hit, Henry Poole Was Here, opposite Luke Wilson, Adriana Barraza and Radha Mitchell.
Hines appeared in a nuymber of feature films in 2009, including the independent feature Bart Got a Room, opposite William H. Macy and directed by Brian Hecker; the romantic comedy Labor Pains, directed by Lara Shapiro and co-starring Lindsay Lohan, Chris Parnell, Luke Kirby and Connie Britton;, Farlanders, directed by Sam Mendes and co-starring John Krasinski and Maya Rudolph; and The Ugly Truth, directed by Robert Luketic and co-starring opposite Katherine Heigl and Gerard Butler.
She also made her feature film directorial debut with the indie, Serious Moonlight, with Meg Ryan and Timothy Hutton, from a screenplay written by the late Adrienne Shelly.
Other film roles include a starring role in the indie comedy The Grand, co-starring Woody Harrelson, David Cross and Ray Romano; Waitress, co-starring Keri Russell and the film's writer/director, Adrienne Shelly; and RV, opposite Robin Williams and directed by Barry Sonnenfeld.
Hines has broadened her experience in television to include producing and voice-over. She was the executive producer on the critically acclaimed improvised and award-winning comedy series, Campus Ladies, for the Oxygen Channel, and the Starz Network's first original comedy series, Hollywood Residential.
She was also handpicked by Jeffrey Katzenberg as the lead voice in the primetime animated series Father of the Pride.
In 2009 she starred as Rosemary's (Megan Mullally) best friend, Jane, in the sitcom In the Motherhood. Her character is a recently divorced working mother of a pre-teen, Annie, and a baby girl, Sophie, who is just trying to keep her career and home afloat.
As a member of the Groundlings Theatre, Hines has spent a great deal of time writing and performing sketch and improvisational comedy. This experience made her feel right at home with the improvised dialogue format of Curb Your Enthusiasm.
Hines resides in Los Angeles with her husband, Paul, and their daughter, Catherine Rose.
