Bio
Janice Dickinson is the self-proclaimed first American supermodel, fashion photographer, actress, author and agent.
In 2005 she opened her own modeling agency, the Janice Dickinson Modeling Agency, which became the focus of a reality show by the same name.
The show follows her opening the agency, including the difficulty in finding models, getting them "camera ready," obtaining financial backing and establishing a reputation for her agency. The agency opened for business in November of 2005.
After a successful modelling career Dickinson reinvented herself by acting as a judge on the first four seasons of reality show America's Next Top Model.
Her disdainful comments to models on the show made her something of a "love-to-hate" public personality, which helped fuel the launch of her second book Everything About Me Is Fake...And I'm Perfect.
She further enhanced her controversial reputation by appearing on the 5th season of reality show The Surreal Life in 2005, during which she feuded bitterly with former The Apprentice contestant Omarosa Manigault-Stallworth.
In early June 2006, Dickinson appeared on The Tyra Banks Show, along with an acclaimed psychotherapist, to discuss the sexual abuse she and her sister suffered at the hands of her father
Her own reality show, The Janice Dickinson Modeling Agency, debuted on June 6, 2006 on the Oxygen network in the USA, and reached the highest rating for the network since its launch in 1998.
