Bio
After finishing school, Mari Michael completed a three-year degree in communications at RAU. While at university, she did two musicals with the RAU Song and Dance Company - Babette and Chicago.
It was during her performance as Velma in Chicago that she was spotted by an agent. A few days later Mari was cast in Richard Loring’s Girl Talk-Nite Out. Since then she’s done other musicals and played Bessie in Molo Fish 2.
She won Best Female Newcomer for the People Magazine's Crystal Awards. She and her husband are happily married and building a new house.
Favourite home-cooked meal: her mother’s fillet stew with yoghurt and red wine sauce.
Most memorable role: Velma in Chicago.
