Bio
Masello Motana is a South African singer, poet, actress and writer best known for her role as Ntombi in the SABC1 drama series Home Affairs, and for co-hosting the music show One.
Career
Television shows she has appeared in include the soapies Isidingo and Scandal!, the drama series Yizo Yizo and the sitcom Pure Monate Show.
She was also an SABC1 continuity announcer.
As a poet Motana has had considerable success. Her poems have been published in several collections, including Timbila and New Horizons: An Anthology of African Verse.
Motana has also presented her poetry at a number of leading events in South Africa, including the national hip-hop poetry festival, Urban Voices (2002); the Oppikoppi Festival (2002); and the World Summit Festival 2002.
She was also the featured poet in a programme commemorating Women's Day in Gauteng in 2003.
She was one of the "Artcha Angels" (with Anel Alexander and Eloise Cupido) who presented the first two seasons of the SABC2 arts and culture magazine show Artcha, from April 2008 to April 2009.
The trio were replaced from the third season on by sole presenter Mmabatho Montsho.
