Bio
Pieter was born and grew up in Standerton. He sang with the Drakensberg Boys Choir for a few years and matriculated at Standerton High School.
He completed his National service in Bloemfontein and studied at Technikon Pretoria. While studying, he started working at a community radio station where his voice became familiar on local airwaves for many years.
Later he became the presenter of an art programme, Kunskafee, and in 2003 started presenting the ever-popular magazine programme Kwêla on KykNET.
Pieter released his first album in 1997 and marketed and distributed the album himself. In 2002 he recorded Amper ’n Bloubul for the Blue Bulls rugby album and As Jy Horings Dra and later, Who Let The Boks Out? and Who Left The Boks Out?
In 2004 he recorded his next solo album, Skud Jou Biscuit after EMI offered him a recording contract.
