Bio
Colin Moss is a South African actor and television personality best known for presenting Fear Factor for M-Net in 2002, co-presenting Idols 2003 and presenting Idols in 2005 and 2006.
In 2007 he returned as the sole host of Idols 4, but left the show before Season 5. He was replaced as host by Liezel van der Westhuizen.
Movie roles include The World Unseen, in which he plays an Apartheid era psycho cop, and the comedy Big Fellas, in which he plays the co-lead.
The World Unseen was released at the Toronto Film in September, 2007 and Big Fellas debuted in November, 2007.
His other film roles include playing the lead in No 10, produced by Gold Studios and directed by Darrel Roodt and a comedic role in Crazy Monkey’s “Straight Outta Benoni” as well as a major role in an American/SA collaboration in the horror movie Ruin.
Moss started his career as a stand up comic. It was when he was living on fruit in the garden of his commune in Johannesburg that he started performing comedy - in order to make enough money for toothpaste, beer and petrol.
Comedy is a lifelong passion and he continually goes back to his roots and regularly works the comedy circuit - both locally and in the UK and Ireland.
In addition to his acting and presenting jobs, he has a reputation in the comedy industry as a very dependable headline act.
He was one of the featured celebrities on the first season of the South African version of the genealogy documentary series Who Do You Think You Are? (based on the British series of the same name), which premiered on SABC2 in May 2009.
He hosted the M-Net Action reality competition Way of the Warrior in early 2010.
