J.C. MacKenzie is a Canadian actor best known for his role as Reagan 'Normal' Ronald on the science fiction television series Dark Angel, from 2000-2002.

He is also known for his starring role as Skip Fontaine, head of sales for American Century with questionable business practices, in the HBO period drama series Vinyl, from executive producers Martin Scorsese, Mick Jagger and Terence Winter.

J.C. is no stranger to collaborating with Scorsese; the two previously worked together on the films The Aviator, The Wolf of Wall Street and The Departed.

His breakthrough role came as Arnold Spavik in ABC's Emmy Award-winning series, Murder One. He also appeared on the Netflix original horror thriller Hemlock Grove, and other credits include Showtime's Dexter, FX's The Shield and the CBS political drama The Good Wife.

J.C. divides his time between the big and small screens. His film credits also include The Day the Earth Stood Still, Mad Money, The Return and What Planet Are You From.

MacKenzie grew up in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, with his parents and three brothers. Prior to launching his career in film and television, he spent several years working in theatres across Canada, including the national tour of Neil Simon's play Biloxi Blues.

J.C. first discovered theatre as a student at Concordia University in Montreal, Quebec. Within two years, he was accepted at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art.

On his off time, MacKenzie is an avid skier, enjoys spicy food and has a passion for interior design.
