Bio

Pallance Dladla is a South African actor who rose to fame as the runner-up of the second season of the SABC1 reality competition television series Class Act, in 2011.

Born in Johannesburg and raised in Soweto, Pallance developed a love for acting at a young age. He won awards for his self-penned play Milk and Bread and was runner-up in the 2010 nationwide DALRO scholarship competition. He also won the Parktown Boys High Original Script Award along with The Best Actor Award in his high school days.

In 2011, Pallance reached the final of Class Act 2011, a talent search competition broadcast nationally on SABC1. He received widespread acclaim for his performances from the likes of Darryl Roodt (director of Academy Award nominated film, Yesterday) and director Tim Greene, but lost out by a narrow margin to Abdul Khoza in the final public vote.

In 2012 he played the role of Jimmy, the sexy dancer that has Amira dancing to his tune, in the e.tv drama series 4Play: Sex Tips for Girls. In the same year he had a cameo role as Mohato in the seventh season of the British drama series Wild at Heart.

In 2013 he landed roles in three television series: the Mzansi Magic telenovela Isibaya and the SABC1 drama series Tempy Pushas and Intersexions.

Pallance played the starring role of Jabulani "Jabu" Zungu, Mpiyakhe's son and Zodwa's brother, in the Mzansi Magic telenovela-turned-soap-opera Isibaya.

On Tempy Pushas he starred as the character X for the first two seasons - he was replaced in the role for Season 3 by Luzuko Nteleko.

In June 2014 he joined the e.tv soapie Rhythm City, taking over the role of Sibusiso Vilakazi, who was previously played by Lungile Radu. He made his debut on Rhythm City on 29 July, 2014.

From 2016-2017 he recurred as Duke on the Mzansi Magic teen drama series Is'thunzi.

In 2019 he played the title role of Shadow - an ex-cop with a rare inability to feel pain who strikes out on his own to catch offenders who've eluded Johannesburg police - in the Netflix superhero series of the same name.
