Andile Ncube is a South African TV personality and producer best known for hosting the Mzansi Friday night music show LIVE.
Born in Johannesburg, Andile attended seven different primary schools all over South Africa until finally retruning to Johannesburg to settle down.
After matric he decided to follow his interests in the media and studied Journalism at Pretoria Technikon. After a years’ stint at the Technikon he enrolled with AFDA - a higher learning institute specialising in film/drama. At the same time also started working in the industry.
He presented Vuyani Mzantsi for SABC2, did the Nokia around the World Challenge for M-Net, acted in several short films and did a couple of adverts before being cast as the host of One - the precursor to LIVE.
At the of April, 2008 Urban Brew, production house to the show, announced that Andile would be leaving as presenter to move into the role of executive producer.
He presented his last show on Friday, 25 April 2008. On Thursday, 24 April 2008 he said goodbye and thanked fans on TVSA with a message to them: Andile Ncube Bids Farewell To Live. On 2 May, 2008 the show introduced Metro FM DJ T-bo Touch as his successor.
His passion for sport – Andile was once part of the Ajax football academy – saw him moving into sports presentation hosting shows such as Soccerzone and Soccer 411.
On Thursday 5 June, 2014 he was announced as the host of the South African version of the international reality competition The X Factor (The X Factor South Africa), broadcast on SABC1 from Sunday 6 September.
