Bio

Letshego Moshoeu is a South African biokineticist and adventure enthusiast from Johannesburg who was a contestant on the M-Net reality competition Survivor South Africa: Maldives, in 2011.

She also appeared as a contestant on the e.tv reality competition Fear Factor South Africa, in 2006.

Letshego was born in Mafikeng, North West and currently living in Douglasdale, Johannesburg. This "adventure freak", as she refers to herself, made her TV debut in the reality show Fear Factor in 2006. She faced her fears by competing very well against 19 other contestants to make it to the top 4, as the 2nd last female standing.

Thereafter she made a decision to follow her dream and qualify as a Sport and Exercise Technologist and specialised in Biokinetics. She is currently completing her Biokinetics internship and will be a Qualified Registered Biokineticist by March 2011.

Letshego is an avid runner and cyclist who has conquered numerous racing events such as the Two Oceans Ultra Marathon, Cape Argus Cycle Tour, 94.7 Cycle Challenge, the Cradle Quest Mountain Bike 3 day stage race and the Ironman 70.3 Triathlon in East London in January 2011.

In 2010, her love of running and cycling saw her join nine other South Africans to swim, cycle and run approximately 2000km in an attempt to raise funds for the underprivileged children in Pennyville, Soweto. The aim of this initiative was to raise funds to build a sports facility and a second crèche in Pennyville.

Team members included the likes of rally driver Gugulethu Zulu, ex-Springbok rugby player Werner Swanepoel, soapie star Henré Pretorius and TV personality Liezel van der Westhuizen.

Letshego is very passionate about keeping her body in shape and aims to be the voice of change to make a difference to South Africa's high levels of obesity. Her number 1 goal is to one day run her own Fitness Facility & Biokinetics practice.

She dated motosport star Gugu Zulu (who competed on SABC2's Strictly Come Dancing in 2008) from 2001 and married him in 2014. They remained married until Gugu's death on 18 July 2016. They have one daughter together, Lelethu.
