Gabriel Macht is an American actor best known for his role as Zack in the 2003 movie The Recruit and for starring as closer Harvey Specter in the legal drama television series Suits.
Macht received critical acclaim for his performance starring opposite John Travolta and Scarlett Johannson in A Love Song for Bobby Long.
He also starred in Middle Men with Luke Wilson, Giovanni Ribisi and his wife, Jacinda Barrett, and was featured in Love And Other Drugs opposite Jake Gyllenhaal, Anne Hathaway, Oliver Platt, and Hank Azaria; directed by Ed Zwick.
Macht starred in The Spirit for Lionsgate with Frank Miller directing and leading an all-star cast that included Scarlett Johansson, Samuel L. Jackson and Eva Mendes.
Macht's other film credits include Whiteout, opposite Kate Beckinsale, Robert De Niro's The Good Shepard, Because I Said So, opposite Mandy Moore and Diane Keaton, The Recruit, with Colin Farrell and Al Pacino, Bad Company, with Anthony Hopkins and Chris Rock and Behind Enemy Lines, with Owen Wilson and Gene Hackmen.
Television credits include Steven Spielberg's The Others, Sex and the City and Spin City. Macht also starred in the BBC production Archangel, co-starring Daniel Craig.
On stage Macht portrayed Elvis Presley (a.k.a. 'the visitor') in Steve Martin's off Broadway smash hit Picasso at the Lapin Agile. He starred in the Joanne Woodward directed La Ronde, at the Williamstown Theatre Festival and in Turnaround written and directed by Roger Kumble at the Coast Playhouse.
Macht graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Carnegie Mellon School of Drama.
