James Rebhorn is an American actor who has appeared in well over a hundred films and television series, including Scent of a Woman (1992), Independence Day (1996) and The Talented Mr. Ripley (1999).
Born in Philadelphia, Rebhorn studied at Wittenberg University and received his Master of Fine Arts degree from Columbia University.
Rebhorn's film credits include roles in Meet The Parents, The Talented Mr. Ripley, The Adventures of Rocky & Bullwinkle, The Game, Independence Day, Carlito's Way, Lorenzo's Oil, Blank Check, Scent of a Woman, My Cousin Vinny, Basic Instinct, The International, Baby Mama and The Box.
His theatre credits include Prelude to a Kiss, Dinner at Eight, The Man Who Had All the Luck, The Overwhelming, Ancestral Voices, Far East, I'm Not Rappaport, the Tony Award-winning revival of Our Town, the long-running hit revival of Twelve Angry Men and as Guston in Saturn Returns.
Rebhorn received a Dramalogue Award for his performance in the La Jolla Playhouse production of Nebraska.
Rebhorn has also appeared on the small screen in a myriad of roles. Shows include Boston Legal, Seinfeld, Comanche Moon, White Collar, 30 Rock, The Book of Daniel, Third Watch, Law and Order, Bright Shining Lie, Mistrial, Guiding Light, I'll Fly Away, Sarah, Plain and Tall, Kate and Allie and Tom Hanks' HBO mini-series From the Earth to the Moon.
In 2010 he had a starring role in the sitcom Big Lake.
