Delicia Machelm, 26, hails from Cape Town and is a product developer for a book club. She studied human resource management at Pen Tech and lives in a flat with her best friend.
She is a Gemini and likes the beach and people who are honest and respectful. Her philosophy is you either go big or you go home.

"In my spare time I read a lot, play lots of sports and love spending time with friends and playing with my dog Toby. I would describe myself as just a plain old Jane but I'm a very emotional person, who thinks a lot and is very energetic.
"I saw the advert for the competition purely by accident, I decided to enter, went to the audition and soon enough received a callback from e.tv saying that I had been chosen as one of the contestants.
"I have an extremely competitive streak in me and I believe that this will give me an edge over the other contestants. I've been doing a lot of training, both mentally and physically and have been psyching myself up for a while now.
"The bravest thing that I have ever done would have to be telling my father that I was going to be a contestant on Fear Factor. My greatest fear would be a fear of confined spaces, especially in the dark, like coffins and stuff.
"I wouldn't describe myself as attractive but I do think that I am talented as I sing in a band which started at church. I usually handle stress by working out, spending time in the pool or running. My greatest achievement is finding my faith.
"I've been injured before, once in a car accident, I dislocated my hip and once playing volleyball I tore a few ligaments. The one thing that I would take with me for luck would be my crucifix, it used to belong to my dad and I never take it off.
"My favourite movie is Beetlejuice, my favourite TV show is Lost and my favourite celebrity is Halle Berry."
