Youven Govender (27) is single businessman from Pietermaritzburg. He stays in an apartment complex by himself and holds a certificate in labour law.
He is a practicing Hindu and says that he likes partying, working hard and money. He hates backstabbers, dishonesty and disrespectfulness.
In his recreational time he says he likes going to the gym, partying and travelling.
His greatest achievement in life is the success of his logistics company and he says that he has a pair of horseshoe earrings that he will take with in the show for luck.

"My philosophy in life is if you have a good heart then you have no limits to what you can achieve.
"I entered Fear Factor for the challenge and for the money, obviously. I would describe myself as a friendly, loyal, respectful and fun loving and the most physical thing that I've ever done would be bungee jumping.
"I think that my worst fear on the show would be the eating challenges, but I can deal with stress. When I'm stressed out I normally just take a deep breath and talk to myself to calm down.
"My favourite film is The Shawshank Redemption, my favourite TV show is Fear Factor and my favourite celebrity will be me in a few months when I win the Fear Factor challenge!
"I think that there were too many injuries that could have been avoided on last year's show but I don't really regard the show as dangerous.
"I do however think that all the bonding on last year's show was good, it helped the contestants through the challenges and at the end of the day helped them to become friends."
