Tamsin Greig is an English actress and comedienne best known for her television roles as Fran Katzenjammer in Black Books and as Dr. Caroline Todd in Green Wing.
Her performance as Dr. Caroline Todd won her both a BAFTA Nomination and The Royal Television Award for Best Comedy Performance in 2006.
She also stars as Beverly Lincoln in the comedy series Episodes and as Jackie in the sitcom Friday Night Dinner.
She has starred in episodes of the groundbreaking series People Like Us, Doctor Who and When I'm 64, for the BBC, but she gained recognition and a British Comedy nomination for her television role as Fran Katzenjammer in Channel 4's Black Books, with Dylan Moran and Bill Bailey.
She played the lead, Alice, in Love Soup; Edith Frank, Anne Frank's mother, in the BBC's The Diary of Anne Frank; and Miss Bates in the BBC Classic serial of Jane Austen's Emma.
In the theatre, she won both the Laurence Olivier and Critic's Award for her performance as Beatrice in the RSC's production of Much Ado About Nothing, and received critical acclaim for her performances as the American agent, Diane, in The Little Dog Laughed and Annette in God of Carnage, opposite Ralph Fiennes.
Greig starred in the lead role of Beth in the production of Tamara Drewe, directed by Stephen Frears, which was an "out of competition" hit at Cannes.
