Jolene Martin (also credited as Jolene Martin-Morgan) is a South African actress, singer, television presenter and MC best known for hosting the Coca-Cola Mega Millions game show on SABC1, and for her role as Candy in the e.tv sitcom Scoop Schoombie.
Born in the Western Cape, Jolene has travelled the world and has now settled in Johannesburg.
Her professional career started at the age of 13. She was spotted by a television producer and then recruited to be the Cape Town field presenter for Eco-Vision, an SABC youth environmental awareness programme.
On entering high school at Sans Souci Girls' High she was asked to present another youth TV show called 2 Cool, for SABC2.
Her high school years saw her playing lead roles on professional stages in musicals like Chicago and The Sound of Music.
At 17, whilst in matric, she was one of two selected citizens of the world, out of a multitude of participants, to address the United Nations at their head-quarters in Paris, France on cities going through dramatic change.
She was representing South Africa after being selected by the Los Angeles based famous art institute the J. Paul Getty Foundation.
The J. Paul Getty foundation in the book Picture Cape Town published Jolene's photography and poem. Her poem - about her visit to Robben Island - was a matric setwork published in the following year's curriculum in the Western Cape.
In 1998 she played a lead role in Grease which got her noticed by theatre legend Janice Honeyman. Janice convinced Jolene's parents that coming to Johannesburg would bear fruit, so she packed her bags and played leads back to back in Janice's pantomime followed by Little Shop of Horrors.
In the years following she continued headlining various stage shows such as Richard Loring's Girl Talk and the travelling stage show Boyband.
It was at this stage in her career that Jolene was offered the role of Candy in the e.tv sitcom Scoop Schoombie playing a young, attractive and very absentminded receptionist.
Her next comedy lead role was in another e.tv sitcom - as Janine in Fishy Fêshuns.
Having worked hard for most of her life she decided to take a break on the island of Mallorca, Spain. Her vocal talents, however, found her travelling for six months alongside purveyors of dance music Ministry of Sound, headlining at some of the biggest clubs in Spain and the Mediterranean.
She decided to return to South Africa to record her debut album The Beginning, with South Africa's most elite dance producers Revolution. The album was released in 2006.
Jolene has been involved in four high profile television shows to date. The first was as host show host on the Coca Cola Mega Millions game show, which commanded a large audience.

She co-hosted the magazine show Curious Culture, played a vixen lawyer character in the third season of SABC's drama series Hard Copy and appeared in the second season of SABC2's hospital drama Hillside, in 2008.
