Sterling K. Brown is an American actor best known for his starring role as Roland Burton in the television drama series Army Wives.
Brown, a native of St. Louis, MO, is a graduate of New York's prestigious Tisch School of the Arts, where he earned a Masters of Fine Arts.
One of his first productions upon graduation was The Resistable Rise of Arturo Ui, starring Al Pacino. He has starred in numerous theatre productions in his career, including Macbeth in Central Park opposite Liev Schreiber.
On television, prior to Army Wives, Brown was a series regular in the FX comedy Starved. A few of his other television credits include guest-starring and recurring roles on Eli Stone, Without a Trace, Boston Legal, Supernatural, Alias and Third Watch.
Brown's feature film credits include Righteous Kill, Stay, Trust the Man and Brown Sugar.
He has been married to actress Ryan Michelle Bathe since June 2007.
