Cookery writer Nigel Slater explores more lives of celebrity guests through their personal food memories and recipes.

More celeb guests reveal some of their favourite, and most hated, dishes, while Nigel talks viewers through recipes that range from Moroccan Lamb tagine with prunes to treacle tart.

Guests in the kitchen this time around include actress Miranda Richardson, who reveals the secrets of her famous game pie, comedian, actor and Comic Relief champion Lenny Henry; and Robin Hood star Keith Allen, who thinks his Yorkshire pudding is unbeatable.

Oz And James' Big Wine Adventure 2
Premiere date: Friday, 6 February 2009 at 19h00

Top Gear presenter James May knew nothing about wine, but that changed when wine expert Oz Clarke invited him on a month-long trip to France last season to learn all about it.

In this second season of their adventures the pair reunite at Muscle Beach, California -, a place synonymous with bronzed, toned body-builders, but also, as Oz reveals, the location where he won the World Wine Tasting Championship in the 1980s.

From there, the pair head off on their next adventure, in a 42 foot motorhome, around the lush valleys and vineyards of California for the next stage of James’ wine education.

Taking in Santa Cruz, Monterey County, Sonoma, and perhaps the most famous Californian wine region, Napa Valley, Oz and James meet a host of rebellious winemakers who are happy to break the rules of their Old-World counterparts to create invigorating new wines.

The pair visit the location of the film Sideways, an oddly familiar comedy that centres round two middle-aged men journeying around California’s wine regions, and meet Gina Gallo, the figurehead of the world’s most successful and productive winemaking families.

The Baby Borrowers on Holiday
Premiere date: Monday, 16 February 2009 at 20h20

Five teenage couples - all craving independence and a family of their own - get their long awaited first summer as grown-ups. Living as adults for the first time, they move into their own holiday cottage, and live by their own rules.

For teenagers holidays mean lazy days in the sun and sea, followed by rowdy nights out, before crashing into bed just before the sun rises. But it’s not quite like that for this lot, because their holiday comes with a painful dose of adult responsibility.

They are in loco parentis for a never-ending stream of kids; some with pets, others with siblings, all of them with attitude. Far from lazing around topping up their tans on the beach, these teenagers juggle babies and children with sandy nappies, collapsing tents, soggy sandwiches and muddy pets.

Hell's Kitchen 3
Premiere date: Wednesday, 18 February 2009 at 18h30

A new season of Hell's Kitchen sees a new group of celebrities learning how to cook professionally under the watchful gaze of Michelin-starred Marco Pierre White.

Bill's Food 2
Premiere date: Tuesday, 24 February 2009 at 18h30

Bills food

Melbourne-born restaurateur Bill Granger has become one of Australia’s most popular and celebrated chefs – and it’s easy to see why. As a self-taught cook, he opened his first café in Sydney aged just 22, and his unique Asian-inspired dishes quickly had people flocking to sample his first-class food.

With a refreshingly relaxed attitude and simple philosophy towards cooking, in the seven episodes of this second series of Bill’s Food, he focuses on stylish simplicity, creating satisfying dishes with minimal effort.

Each episode has a ‘day’ theme, so during ‘School Days’ Bill prepares healthy lunchboxes for the kids, while in ‘Rainy Days’ everything slows down and he cooks from the pantry and for the freezer.

He also revisits his childhood, talks about his travelling, and prepares a wedding day menu during the series. Whatever type of day it is, the perpetually smiling Bill has a simple philosophy: "I like to cook the kind of food that people like to eat."

Rhodes Across India
Premiere date: Thursday 26 February 2009 at 18h30

rhodes_across-india

In this 10-part series, Gary Rhodes and a team of young sous-chefs take the trip of a lifetime. Their mission: to find the best of authentic Indian cuisine, learn how to cook it, and then return home to cater for a major banquet in celebration of India’s independence.

In each programme, Gary and his team explore a different regional cuisine from royal food to street food, Punjabi to Parsi, Mughali to Marwari. They learn about ingredients, flavours, cooking techniques and the culture surrounding each dish.

Gary also has to impress one of the most successful Indian chefs in the UK when Atul Kuchhar’s restaurant Benares is the setting for a big feast.
