It seems the new re-invented
go channel Vuzu (which launches on DStv on 1 July) has serious challenges ahead of it when it comes to naming and conceptualising future shows if the latest whack developments are anything to go by.
The previously announced new reality show Girls Of The Vuzu Mansion has undergone a name change to ... Vixens.
The scenario of the show: six couples put their relationship to the test when six guys move into a house with six "Vixens" - all while their girlfriends watch from the sidelines to see if they cheat.
Word from the channel is that the show has changed name because of the public's reponse to it and perceptions of the new channel. Apparently people said that it made the channel sound as if it's only going to have risqué material on it that isn't suitable for young adults and the channel wants to dispel this because there are other shows on it too e.g. Gossip Girl and Smallville.
Our take on it is that the
real reason it changed names is because it was an unoriginal direct copy of Hugh's Hefner's show -

As for the show itself - it needs to change the concept too so that it isn't only the girls who have to suffer watching their boyfriends cheat. SO dark ages that it's been structured this way round.
