The Show in 1, 2, 3
1. The auditions have been open to both amateur and professional Latin dancers who arrived on the scene at each venue to dance for the show's three judges.
2. The judges chose their faves from the first day's audition who then danced in a performance-type showdown - Cape Town's happened on Saturday night (22 August).
The result: the judges have chosen approx. 12 couples from the three cities to go through to the finals in Jozi. They haven't all been fully confirmed yet because some still have to sign contracts that they're available for the necessary time.
3. The next step: the finalists go into a dance-off for the title. As the show unfolds they'll be eliminated, leaving one winning couple with the prize: R20 000, a dance apperance at the World Dance Event (happening in Cape Town) and a trip overseas to dance at an international competition.
There isn't any audience voting - the judges decide it all.
Hosting the show ....

On the job
Tim and Alné Grumpy - I barely managed to get their names. I snapped them before they auditioned and only caught up with them for their names after. They didn't get through to the next round and were SO iffy to talk to afterwards you have no idea.
Other gossThere's gonna be a very problematic mom on the show - she had a freak-out about her daughter dancing because of the outfits they wear and didn't want to allow her to go further in the competition. The show goes to their home to see if they can convince her otherwise.
Also, a lot of the entrants have been Christians apparently - because of how many Christian groups are involved with dancing.
Success Stories
Meagan Lottering (19) and Devon Snell (21)
One of three confirmed couples who made it through to the Top 12 after Saturday night's show.

Shaneé De Beer (18) and Ashley Johnson (18). Specialists in cha cha cha/legs that go ska (no clue but it rhymed)
*Shaneé was a first impression favourite among the judges, as you'll see ...Click
