HOME AFFAIRS SEASON RECAP

I have been meaning to do a regular recap on Home Affairs but was inundated so now that I have so much time at work with nothing else to do i thought i should recap the season as i have not seen any regular recaps.

I missed an episode or two so you will pardon for inaccuary and for not knowing some of the characters' names - i am trying to remember all that has happened off the top of my head.

in Season Four Katlego finds herself reunited with the guy who  attempted to highjack and rape her in the last season.  after the guy stalks Katlego, she finds it in her heart to welcome him and understand why he was involved in the crime in the first place.

she then invites him to see the play inspired by the hijack ... and as they were getting closer, the guy gets killed.

Mrs van Tonder started her jailterm and finds a cellmate who is hostile towards her in the beginning but later the two become friends and gang up against other ruthless inmates who try to be rude to the old lady.

Mrs Van Tonder later gets Cherise to save her cellmates' daughter from the adoptive parents who were abusive towards the child.

as Mr van Tonder is in the final stages of a terminal illness - as Shabir Shaik was when he left prison - Cherise quits her job to be with her father in the final days. the parents get reunited before the husband breathes his last breath and the wife is allowed a pass to attend her husband's funeral.

Thabani and Vuyo have their relatiosnhip ruffled by a another player but her lustfulness towards Thabani looses momentum as Vuyo fights for what is hers - she adds salt to wound by qualifying for the Olympics while the other girl fails to.

Vuyo then decided that she's ready for a sexual relationship with her man - which in turn brings them closer - but in between the excitement Thabani finds a job in another province which leaves Vuyo unhappy. while still sad about Thabani's new job Vuyo goes home and learns of Buli's pregnancy and insists on an abortion - which Buli disagrees to.

Vuyo's roomate's prostitution lands her into trouble as she is almost raped by one of the men she used to sleep with for money but Vuyo comes to her rescue.

Thandeka manages to clear her company's name with the help of Senzo by finally nabbing the women behind the corruption that saw Lesedi lose her job at young blood.

we are introduced to Grace who was in jail for a drunk driving incident that left a man paralysed.  she stays with her sister for a while whose husband mistreats Grace and expects sexual favours from her.  later Grace finds a job but as soon as they learn of her past she is fired - then hired again.  she then messes things up at an event when she meets the guy she paralysed.  she is then welcomed to speak at a church about her accident.

bloggers, this is all i can gather from my brain so far, i hope to it's sufficient, i must say though, i missed Katlego's parents in this season.

happy reading and a joyous festive season to you all.

till we blog again in the new year. bye

Hey jinxed, you are too sweet to have done this. At least now I can talk about my fauvorite show. Now can i ask you another favour, be a darling and do a season recap of Society as well  :-)

I love home affairs, and when Lesedi got her job back, "Cleo" got arrested, Vuyo lovey dovery with Thabani, Grace started doing something with her guilt and Mrs van Tonder getting along with the cellmate........I thought the end of home affairs because with drama like this one when things start falling into place it is the end of the season!

I love how they have re-opened the drama again, and cant waut to see how the relationship between Kate and Ntsiepe is going to work out, did you notice how Ntsiepe's parents were grinning and yet diapproving of Kate. At least Kate's parents are open about it.

Thandeka is also looking for a man, but searching in the wrong places, a woman of her calibre should be attending those galler events, and not through internet dating she will definetely end up with freaks.

Katlego is falling for a player, phela that dude had a big ego and arrogance all over him, and Katlego shame is drooling all over him.

Vuyo let it all out when Thabani was there, thought that was very brave of her and the sweet Thabani was there with his brought shoulders to comfort her. That was so touching, especially considering how tough Vuyo is......................(Zizi (Thabani) must do something with that potbelly of his, is not attractive at all)

I will be glued  to my 21cm again on Thursday.

I'm loving Vuyo oh so much, that girl just does it for me, her acting makes me sit up and watch.

I was confused about her roommates prostitution, I had no idea she was doing that, but I did miss a few episodes too.

As for the young blood drama, that also went over my head, had no idea where it came from.

All in all though, the casting in this show is exemplary, I don't know why other shows risk their productions by casting non-talent, it baffles me. On this show, everyone is brilliant, from your extras to your main characters!

Recession is really bad. My heart sank when I saw this guy who was pretending to be going to work and then stay on the fields or parks due to to the fact that he was afraid of telling his wife that he was retrenched. To me it was so real because I know some families who has both bread winners loosing the job at the same time.

Is realy bad !!

In all I think the story line is greast and real.

Poor Mrs Van Tonder is rotting in jail for something that was beyond her control.
Sometimes Justice system really stinks. How are we as the genereal public supposed to protect ourselves from Tsotsis causing mayhem in our lives.
The culprit always win and we have to loose always on techincallity because we can't afford powerful lawyers who also happen to be sharks.

If you sk me In new South Africa Justice system is still the only thing that has not been transformed and it is a thorn on the flesh. How many innocent people are in jail on a tecnicality ?
