SAMA’s, SAMA’s, SAMA’s where do I begin?
Tjerr shame its difficult being unknown, I was told that I could only get a ticket to the superbowl. No yellow carpet, nothing! I mean WTF? What is the point of taking pictures when I won’t be allowed to the yellow carpet? I mean I can’t take in the superbowl either and I wasn’t even allowed to the afterparty! Agggh anyway I managed to hussle for the after-party tickets and after 1 phone call from Tashi to the organisers and BANG, the yellow carpet entry!!

So here is the fashion, the celebs and dates on the yellow carpet. I will just let the pics do the talking while i rest because I have no energy. I have been fasting and praying about nightmares I've had for the last 2 nights about a specific female artist’s horrible outfit on the yellow carpet. I don’t think I even need to give a clue of who I am talking about.

Angazi but I didn’t see anyone from TS records at the SAMA’s. Are they still beefing with the fact that PRO was not noninated? I mean who from the list of nominees was supposed to make way for him? Agghh they will get over it. I liked what Slikour said to me at the SAMA launch when I asked how he felt that Skwatta Kamp wasn’t nominated for anything and he said “Clearly it means the other guys who are nominated worked harder than us, and we need to try up our game” awww taken like a real man.
Well I wont say much about the main event because I believe we all saw it live, but the highlight for me was Trevor. This guy is good was a good host, and has set the high standard for whoever will be hosting the next SAMA’s.
Hehehe and TKZee getting all excited on stage and not reading the script??? Guys the best selling album doesnt have nominees hleng, its either you selling the most or you not selling the most. OK? Nogaal Kabelo even went to call people bloody agents while they waited for the 'list' to appear on the screen..hahahahah
OK what was up with the whole of 5fm presenting awards? HUH? What was happening? There were about 5 or more 5 FM DJ's presenting awards.
The perfomances well, i liked them shame all of them. It is clear that we have the talent lana ekhaya and pity FIFA and co doesnt seem to think its enough for their 'big events'.
I also feel Tira should let Big Nuz shine on their own once. We don’t see Guffy jumping on stage and making the acceptance speech everytime Malaika wins an award or any other producer for the matter? Nabo these guys? Can’t they speak for themselves . I would think since they arrived very sloshed on the yellow carpet, they will have the guards to make acceptance speeches. On that note, Congrats to BIG NUZ, and well done. You deserve all those 3 awards you received.

Eish this is were I thought I would snap a lot of goss filled pics, but to my surprise there was an entrance for ‘vip’s’ and commoners like myself. There were no celebs where I was and after my first drink the bar became a cash bar so me being a hustler that I am I managed to squeeze in the vip area, leaving me a driver behind coz obviously the bouncer wasn’t going to let him coz he is a man.
The vip area was also full of unknowns to me, and the bar was also a cash bar. Managed to hustle for a free drink from the bartender while I waited but nah still no much to write home about happened.
The reason I buy a six-pack or a bottle of bazala and drink at home is because I don’t want to have to pay R25 for a cider at a club, and I hoped that since they promised bigger and better SAMA’s this year the bar will be free the whole night like last year.
The only thing that was bigger and better for me was the Main event and the goodie bag, I mean I didn’t even see Khanyisile Mbau there. Off course me being sober meant no fun, even though Cleo rocked the afterparty I am not a great fan of house music that is why when that DJ who looked like Sox or it was Sox himself started playing deep house I just packed and left for Petori Mahlanyeng.
