Let’s talk about hair. We know that weaves are popular right now most women put on weaves on their head. Some are now even afraid to be seen without a weave. I know when you take off your weave a certain amount of your confidence is also removed too, hence some women will never be seen without a weave.
In every event or street you find a lot of women with weaves. It comes in all different styles, some are fabulous some are hideous. You will wonder how come someone put on some thing like that on their head and be brave to walk around with it. Some are as hot that you cannot stop starring and think I want this hairstyle but when you get to the salon you struggle to say the hairstyle that you want to be done on your head.
You describe none stop to a point were the hairstylist doesn’t know were to begin to do the hairstyle that you want. Ladies have even resorted to naming hairstyles after celebs like iRihanna style, uKhetiwe, uNomasonto or uSharon etc.
We know that most of our celebs like weaves and we have never seen some of them without a weave. Most of us look up to them when it comes to these things because they always appear on TV, magazines, newspapers etc. So now ladies, who do you think is the best person to look up to when it comes to weave hairstyles.
Bonang Matheba loves her weaves so much I don’t think she can live without it. Last year she tried to go natural by having cornrows but that didn’t last long she went back to her weaves. Now she is always rocking a Diva Divine weave and always looks fabulous. When she first started on LIVE she used to rock the short weave that is called iRihanna style and it suited her, now she always has long weaves.
Minnie Dlamini is now spotting an over the shoulders weave with a fringe. Is fringe still in fashion? I thought it is so last year but anyway I think it looks good on her.
Babalwa Mneno is known for her Brazilian weave and this one on the left pic looks nice. Apparently you can change it from straight to being curly. It is expensive too.
I’ve heard that Nonhle Thema’s weaves are very expensive but she always has that same long hairstyle all the time. She only changes it by doing curls. I think it’s about time she changes her hairstyle maybe go short. She’s had that same style for ages now.
Since many South Africans watch Generations they always look up to Generations actresses/characters for new hairstyles and Kagiso Rakosa’s character is one of them. There is even a hairstyle that is called uSharon. I don’t know how people are going to differentiate now that she has changed her previous short weave with navy highlights to this new short black one that she is spotting on Generations, maybe old Sharon and new Sharon akesti.
Connie Ferguson is one lady who used to change her hair into different hairstyles on Generations and they always got it right with her weaves compared to Ntombi and Dineo. She would change from braids to weaves and she would always look hot. Now she is spotting a new short her. She cut her long natural hair to this short hairstyle. Apparently it’s her tradition to do so every time there’s a change in her life, she said so on Motswako.
I think this short hairstyle in becoming popular maybe it will inspire women to have their short natural hair. I have also seen that Dineo Ranaka has it.
Dj Zinhle, I must say she is brave to walk around with that hair, I would never. I don’t like those hair cuts what’s so ever and there seems to be quite a number of women with that kind of hairstyle.
Winnie Modise’s character Khetiwe seems to be one of the characters that women look up to when it comes to weave. I haven’t seen her with long weaves. She always has short weaves. I think they suite her but still I would love to see her with a long weave.
Bassie Khumalo liked the Rhanna hairstyle so much. I thought it was so immature for her but it suited her anyway.
Mrs Crous, all I can say about her is, can she change that hair please. It's 2011 now maybe it’s perfect time to change that hairstyle. It wouldn’t hurt to try something new or maybe you have and didn’t like what you saw in the mirror?
Khanyi Mbau seems to like a different colour compared to most women who like black. Her weaves are always in brown or whatever colour you call brown these days and they always compliment her skin. She also likes to have curly hair.
They decided to change Dineo’s hair on Generations the character that is played by
Katlego Danke. Everyone was pleased to see her with a short hairstyle compared to that long same hairstyle she had since her inception on Generations.
Just like Connie Ferguson,
Azania Ndoro is not afraid to be seen with her natural hair even though she does put on weaves. Recently she had a curly hairstyle I think it is called iFreedom lol many women liked it and wanted it so bad. They even stalked the poor lady on twitter lol.
Or maybe you think we should all just go RED HAIRED like Rihanna.
I'm sure you have seen all sorts of hairstyles during the holidays especially with this new
Rihanna hairstyle craziness. So ladies (and gents) which person do you regard as the best to look up to when it comes to weaves and hairstyles? Or what do you think of weaves generally.
