Best House Vocalists

These are people who sing behind the pumping beats that are produced by our favourite DJ’s. They make the song even more enjoyable with their vocals.

Days of hearing House tracks with only beats seem to be over because we see many DJs adding some vocals on their songs. This makes people who didn’t like House music before to enjoy it now.

Behind those nice house songs there are talented vocalists and there seems to be many people who would love to be House vocalists out there. So now let’s take a look at our top House vocalists and see if you can make a list starting from number 1 to 9, no two vocalists should share a number.

You can add others that you know which are not here. It got difficult for me to make the list. I am still trying to. Here they are…

Malehloka

She is the lady behind popular house tracks like Fallen by Dj Kent, Uzongilinda by Dj Q-nes.  I think this lady is the next big thing!

Zayon

He is part of the duo group Liquid Deep. He is the vocalist in the group. He is the guy who makes every girl weak on their knees when he sings Alone, BBM and Fairytale to name a few. They won two Metro FM music awards.

Zakes Bantwini

He is the one who sings the song Juju which is produced by Dj Black Coffee. He has his own album that features tracks like Bum Bum and Clap Your Hands. He also won a Metro FM award for Best Male.

Relo

She recently won a Metro FM award with Dj Kent for their hit track Lets Fall in Love. She also has her own album produced by Dj Kent that has the popular track Keep on Moving.

Bucie

She shot to fame with her hit single Ndicel’indonda that had everyone dancing. She now features in Dj Black Coffee’s songs. She is the one singing the famous song, Superman.

Tumelo

He is featured in Zakes Bantwini’s song Bum Bum. He also has his own album out called Arise and Shine. You might know his song, Release Your Soul that is playing on radio.

Nothende

She's been in the music industry for a long time but she always got featured in other people's track. She has worked with a number of Hip Hop artists as a vocalist in thier tracks. She is now featured in Dj Lulocafe's popular song I Wanna Love You. She has her a own album out now.

Lolo

She has been the girl behind Kentphonik’s songs and now she is working with both Euphonik and Kent. She is the one singing Euphonik’s popular track Vuma.

Zano

I didn’t know he could sing when he was a presenter of Bakae. So I’ll take it, he ditched Bakae to pursue he’s singing career. I have seen him singing his own songs but I don’t really know them. He also features in one of Tumelo’s songs called My Confession.

Its Friday folks some of you will be out partying let’s see who is your number 1 House Vocalists.

All in the name of fun bloggers :-)

I never listen to house music, infact i dont quite like it. Its weird how most people who like it get ubber energised when their fav track comes on and nna i actually get depressed.
I even have a rule, i dont clean at home if the boys are playing house music. I know i know, ive been told im missing out?

I love the vocalist in 1 of the 3 house songs/tracks that i like.  Oskido -"talking bout a revolution", his cover of Tracy Chapman's song, i absolutely loooove that girl who sings in that track, tom boy, chybby, coloured, dreads, dunno her name...but i love her and i recently saw her singing somewhere *magical*,forgot what show on Tv...i fell inlove with her on that "house" song/track.

@Aluta25 I also love Summer Breeze but I also dont who is behind those vocals, that song is baws.

GA yes you are missing out especially now that there are vocals on house tracks. Have you ever heard Liquid Deepos songs those are the jams that everyone from different races like. You should listen toi thier CD you might change your mind about this genre. A friend of mine did now she is a House fan.

I know the girl you are talking I also love that Oskido jam. The vocalist is from Cape Town.

Thing Cheesa...with liquideep, I do know them and when im not in control of the remote i have to listen to them coz they are huge, that i know. I appreciate the fact that house this days has vocals, i should be liking it because the reason i dont its because of the dush dush dush base backround and the half hearted intsrumental here and there (i call it), i want the song...but the thing with liquideep is that i feel like their are a bad version of rnb..thats why calling it house suffices *kinda hiding*...but that how i percieve the vocalists in house music in general,

I like what ...jakes bantwini (my sister loooves him) does, he doesnt try to bring rnb to house (bcos for me tht doesnt work), he just does something different, its him, its fresh so i cant compare it anything.....

But its really weaird to be the odd one out about this house music...

Its Juicy, TheLady he's also good.
Ngwana I love that Danny K and Kent track too.

25 Feb 2011 12:39

LOL! At dush dush dush hayi GA stop comapring maan enjoy tha music lol.

Have you seen Zakes perform tjo he is bauss.

Mna what I dont like sometimes is when they mix international RnB songs and make them House especially when the song is new. Hayi I dont like that shem.

I think they should wait a bit for the international artist song to vanish a bit then remix it. They have done it with many Beyonce songs, Marry J Blige now they have done Willow Smith Wip my Hair.

Mna what I dont like sometimes is when they mix international RnB songs and make them House especially when the song is new. Hayi I dont like that shem.
Mna i dont like the smapling songs and bit. I dont mind if they change the beat and make it faster..add their dush dush dushes..and leave the entire song alone UNSCRATCHED, literally and figueratively..lol
I lved the Mary J Blige "leave without you" remix or housification:)...the changed the beat and left the song along. Cant picture Whip my hair housified tho..it already ahs dush dush mos...

My sister was saying last night that he is starting to like Zakes's quyirky dancing style or whatever it is that he odes when he sings...she said she realises that Zakes is actually dancing, not just being awakward and she wants to learn how to do that...LOL...

25 Feb 2011 13:02

Oh wena myname ungu nondlu lol phofu siyafana nam I'm not that much of a party animal. I make my own dush dush dush at home they way I enjoy it. Many people think I am a party animal since I love this kinda music.

My sister was saying last night that he is starting to like Zakes's quyirky dancing style or whatever it is that he odes when he sings...she said she realises that Zakes is actually dancing, not just being awakward and she wants to learn how to do that...LOL...

LOL! Zakes is doing those James Brown kinda type of dance moves. He is really good at it. I heard he is going to do his DVD since he heard many people saying they like to watch him perform live.

About international songs, another thing I dont like is when they let another person sing the lyrics of the international song tjo! That kills some of the songs.

I dont mind when they just make the song more up tempo like you said not it be sung by someone else ayi ayi ayi!

Have you heard Bojo Mojo singing Craig David's "Something so Beautiful" not sure about the title of the song but it has that line, hayi I dont like it shem.

25 Feb 2011 13:12

About international songs, another thing I dont like is when they let another person sing the lyrics of the international song tjo! ....tjo tjo, that one upsets me i literally shout at the song could shout at the dj if i saw them. Imagina Bojomojo singing a Craige David song,aowa...and the problem with that is that they dont even put their own spin, they wana sing like the original and you wonder why didnt they just copy and paste the proper original. Absolutely not cool.
K, i know that if someone else sings, it makes a difference when they have to pay up the original owners ( i stand corrected), but then they never get people who can sing proper....bojomojo singing Craige david..and selling that to people...wrong!

Green.arrow
25 Feb 2011 13:16

LOL! Zakes is doing those James Brown kinda type of dance moves...lol he does...and then softens it up by throwing in some Raphael Saadiq jazzy swagg in there..i think he is onto something there

Cheesa
25 Feb 2011 13:18

Kwaaaaaa GA kanti its about money I did know hey tjo now I get why they rather sing the lyrics they dont wanna pay LOL! Apparently Bojo Mojo is the most selling House Dj, tjo!

Wow. Like you Cheesa, I also can't list them hey.

They are all on another level vocally. So, I guess it would be more on the song one likes best.

I absolutely luv Dj Qness' uzongilinda.

Liquid Deep's entire album is on point.

Zakes Bantwini's album is also hot.

I've heard Nothende on Hip Hop tracks & like Malik, I wonder why it took them so long to release their own albums. They are too talented.
