The farewell special was recorded at the United Center in Chicago (an indoor sports centre) for a live audience of 13 000 guests. It features celebrity guests performing and talking about what the show has meant to them over the years.
Oprah didn't know who was going to be involved so each performance was a suprise to her. Guests who appear include Will Smith, Beyoncé, Tom Hanks, Stevie Wonder, Madonna, Jamie Foxx, Aretha Franklin, Josh Grobin, Tom Cruise, Dakota Fanning and John Legend.
Even trusty Stedman puts in an appearance.
For the very final episode, Oprah hosts alone, with no guests. She thanks viewers and her staff and says her farewell.
