Congratulations to South African actress Terry Pheto who just landed a lucrative dream role of a popular South African doctor in the soapie The Bold and The Beautiful. Terry starts filming her Bold scenes on Monday 13 June and will be seen on South African screens in 2012.
She's worth it: Terry Pheto reportedly fits character desciption
The L'Oreal Paris model's star is shinning even brighter. Propelled into a household name after starring in the South African Academy Award winning film Tsotsi, Terry went on to continue starring in Zone 14 until she noticed how much of her time she was wasting and I think it's because South African soapies weren't giving her a role despite viewers asking Generations to give her a role in their soapie.
A few months ago, Terry decided to pack her bags and go to Hollyhood to join the likes of Charlize Theron and lift the South African flag even higher. As a Sepedi saying goes, bobedi bo bolaya noga meaning if two people are doing something together, it will succeed. Surely Pheto and Theron will succeed in dispelling all the myths about South Africa.

Terry took the courageous step after Bonnie and hubby Henna failed in cracking the Hollyhood fame and came back home earlier this year pretty much with an empty bank account. Another actress who came back home was Xolile Tshabalala after she got a cameo role as an African woman searching for her husband in CSI or some crime thriller series. Terry's L'Oreal modelling most arguably put her on a good footing-print to receive instant recognition in the city of the rich and famous.

reports all4women.co.za It is reported that the producers of soapie have been wanting to cast a South African actress for a while now in a bid to get in touch with millions of their South African audience. It can be argued that after
the beautiful reception that Jack Morone and Steffy Forrester received in South African during their visit this year put a stamp of approval on the producers's intentions. Terry is quoted as saying on all4women: "This is the opportunity of a lifetime and I look forward to sharing the screen with my soapie heroes Katherine Kelly Lang and Susan Flannery, while sinking my thespian teeth into a challenging role."
"Ngisho no ku ma sexy shoots I feel confident, because I'm worth it"
The Emmy Daytime nominated soapie is well known for its sleazy, sexy and controversial storylines. The soapie doesn't shy away from bedroom and bubble bath scenes and if you think your complains will make them tone down on their sexy scenes, think again. Aptly nicknamed The Sex and The Kittens by South African audience, the show continues to do well on South African screens with over
1 907 000 viewers each bold day. The show is holding tightly on the number 4 spot of the soapies playing on SA TV.

We are keeping our fingers crossed that Ms Pheto be given some sort of a lead role that will culminate in her being Ridge Forrester's new squeeze and we wanna see her bubble bath and sexy lingerie scenes. She can also do some modelling on the show so we can enjoy the view of her great body.
Congrats Terry Pheto and we know you will do South Africa proud. You go girl, you sweet thing. After all, Terry is worth it!
