Class Act 2 winners

Class Act 2 came to a climax on Saturday night (16 July) in a special, 90-minute finale which revealed who the public thought should be South Africa's next leading man and lady: fireman Abdul Khoza from Durban and Port St. Johns belle Tumie Ngumla.

This year Class Act sought to expose two new talents, with promises of double the drama and twice the thrills. Last night the next leading couple, as voted for by South Africa were made known during the extended 90-minute Grand Finale episode of Class Act Season 2.

Beating out strong competition in the form of Mandisa Nduna from Durban and Pallance Dladla from Soweto, Tumie and Abdul received the most votes from the public and were announced as the next leading couple by host Kenneth Nkosi.

24-year-old Tumie had this to say after being announced her as the leading lady: "It hasn't dawned on me yet! I would like to say thank you to (the sponsor) for giving me this chance otherwise I would never have gotten the opportunity of fulfilling my dream.

"Abdul and I came here as the least experienced but look where we are now."

Abdul (23) reacted as follows: "We came here as the amateurs but we did it. Thank you to my family and friends for being behind me and to the whole of Mzansi for supporting me.

"Thank you for giving me the chance - I am so blessed."

As winners of Class Act Season 2, the leading couple will receive the following:

- Both are attached to a new action movie directed by Donovan Marsh
- Representation by leading casting agent Moonyeenn Lee, of MLA
- An eight-week course at the New York Film Academy
- The lead roles in a new Amstel television commercial

Abdul 23years yoh.. Nway I was sooo happy for them they were my faves throughout n especially Abdul coz his my home boy.. But honestly I think Pallance was stronger then Abdul in terms off acting n extraaa hot. Mandisa is gud but she needs to put a smile on that face and loosen up. Congrats to the winners nd runner ups for gettin this far...

Been voting for Abdul since day 1. I was so happy for him, last year Sdumo was my favourite and look at him now! Lol. For the girls, Tumie has been an obvious winner since the day she walked onto that stage with Kenneth. She's just so adorable.

I must admit Mandisa was gud kodwa her acting was too serious, you could c that she was acting most of the time... As for Pallance he was good but technically he wasnt good as Abdul, so Abdul had ol what was needed... Nevertheless congrats to the 4 of them.

Were Tumie and Abdul your favourites?

Not really....even though I did not vote, Abdul was my favourite. I couldn't care less who won from the girls' side. They were dissappointing for me.

To be honest Mandisa's acting didn't do it for me. I even thought Petronella was better than her. With Mandisa you could see she's acting. Don't you think that it's a coincidence that Tumie did the auditions twice, then she ends up winning?

Congratulation to both winners they deserve it. Competition was tough guys seriously , Tummie was my fav from day one. Mandisa is good as well but unfortunaley only one winner needed from ladies side, anyway the four of them was good they were growing to better actors.

I'm with Happy with the results. Mandisa was suppose to win but she had this attitude with her that cost her so much but she is an actor. Abdul and Tumie WOW guys! All the best!
