Muvhango on a Sunday night? Yip!
This Sunday (11 November) Muvhango will be airing a celebratory film titled "The Muvhango 15 Years Documentary".
It's an hour long special that covers the impact of the past on the present. It looks back over the years, from the perspective of the key players who've developed the soapie into what it is now.
The soapie first launched on SABC2 on 7 April 1997, as a 13-part series and went on to land another 13 episodes. SABC2 ordered another 26 episodes, then 52, then 104 and started airing three episodes a week by Season 3.
The show started broadcasting four days a week on 5 April 2007 - to mark the show's 10th anniversary. Five years later it headlines
the ratings on SABC2 as one of the most popular shows on the channel.
Sunday's special features interviews with series creator
Duma Ndlovu as well as cast who've been with the show for a long-time, with a focus on those who've been with it since the start.
It starts at 21h00 and runs an hour.
