Love him or hate him, Harold van Buuren's proven to be excellent reality fodder. He never conveys the sense that he's trying to be a "reality judge" as is the case with Randall Abrahams and his Simon Cowell impersonation.
First there was Harold's controversial partnership with Isidingo's Grethe Fox in the second season of Strictly Come Dancing, followed by the first two seasons of
So You Think You Can Dance SA where he displayed his own brand of eccentric honesty.
He'll be back with more of it on the upcoming new season of So You Think Can Dance as the only remaining former judge. Auditions have been happening in Jozi, Cape Town and Durban over the past month and the season premieres on SABC1 on Saturday, 17 August at 18h30.
Didi Moses and David Matamela are off the judging panel. Harold will be joined by two newcomer judges: Top Billing's Lorna Maseko and Muvhango's Themba Nofomele, who's also a professional dancer and choreographer. The Link's Sinazo Yolwa will be taking over from Sade Giliberti to host.
Once the voting starts, the Results Shows will air on Mondays at 19h00 - from 23 September.
