It's taken almost
two years for the cancellation of All My Children to take effect on SABC3. It was supposed to be binned back at the start of 2012 but then it continued indefinitely when The Nate Berkus Show failed to materialise on time.
AMC remained in it's timeslot once The Nate Berkus Show eventually arrived later that year and now it's getting the boot for good.
If it's replacement materialises on time of course.
In mid-November The Jeff Probst Show will be replacing it - Survivor host Jeff's talk show. It currently airs daily on M-Net Series Reality and will also air daily on SABC3, during AMC's regular 13h55 time.
As for why AMC's getting canned ... word from an insider is that the reason remains the same: the channel doesn't feel that it's relevant to audiences.
The final episode of Season 9 airs on Monday, 18 November and The Jeff Probst Show starts the following day.
