Nominees for the 2014 South African Film and Video Foundation awards (SAFTAs) were announced in Johannesburg on Wednesday night (5 March).

Events took place at the VIP Supper Club in Sandton and the evening was hosted by comedian and actor Alan Committie.

The two SAFTA ceremonies take place over the same weekend this year, on 4 and 5 April.
